Why do so many people enjoy playing American Mah Jongg?  Above all, it is fun and social!  It is a challenging, tile-based strategy game that combines skill with luck. Players attempt to match a hand from scores of possibilities - and although winning a game is satisfying, ALMOST winning is sometimes just as much fun!  Instructional - The instructor will explain the basics of the game and provide you with the fundamental skills needed to enjoy playing.  All participants will receive their own official National Mah Jongg League card which lists this year’s playing hands and the rules of the game.Club - An opportunity for beginning players to get together and practice their skills.  All skill levels welcome and help is always appreciated.  Players must bring their own National Mah Jongg League Card.   * Note for Club Players: Club play is designed for individuals who are already familiar with the game of American Mah Jongg. This is not a learning session; players are expected to know the rules and be able to play independently.
