I Can Make Music - I Can Make Music
Unlock the powerful connection between music and early literacy. This specialized parent-child class is designed to nurture your child’s language development through the joy of music.
Before children decode words on a page, they must first decode the sounds they hear. Our weekly sessions use rhythm, movement, fingerplay songs, and musical storytelling to naturally strengthen phonological awareness, the ability to hear and manipulate sounds in spoken language. Research shows that children who engage deeply with rhythm, rhyme, and musical patterns often develop stronger listening and sound awareness skills that support early literacy. Together, we will explore how music supports memory, listening, language development, and the foundational skills needed for reading.
This class is co-created and taught by an Early Childhood Education and Music Specialist who holds an Advanced Professional Certificate from Berklee College of Music and has over a decade of experience teaching music classes. The class is part of the “I Can…” series created by a speech-language pathologist with over 15 years of experience.

Unlock the powerful connection between music and early literacy. This specialized parent-child class is designed to nurture your child’s language development through the joy of music.
Before children decode words on a page, they must first decode the sounds they hear. Our weekly sessions use rhythm, movement, fingerplay songs, and musical storytelling to naturally strengthen phonological awareness, the ability to hear and manipulate sounds in spoken language. Research shows that children who engage deeply with rhythm, rhyme, and musical patterns often develop stronger listening and sound awareness skills that support early literacy. Together, we will explore how music supports memory, listening, language development, and the foundational skills needed for reading.

Beginner Fly Tying Class: This class will cover 8 different fly patterns that are used though out the fishing season. In class we will go over what tools are needed, the materials, how to tie the fly and what we are trying to imitate. Tools and materials will be supplied in the classroom. In some classes, we will tie two flies with different variations of how the fly is tied. We will cover the following flies: Sparkle Dun, Compara Dun, Klinkhammer, Parachute Fly, Sulphur Cut Wing Mayfly, Pheasant Tail Emerger, Moose Mane Emerger, Extended Body Bullet Head Hopper, and Muddler Minnow. That is 9 flies with different materials and fly tying techniques in a 6-week course.Students should have basic fly tying knowledge for this class, and will have to supply their own tools and materials (from a material list provided)

After this time, no additional vehicles will be permitted to enter. 1.3 Vendors must be checked in and present in their assigned space by 8:30 AM. 1.4 Vendors arriving after the entrance has closed risk being denied participation. No refunds will be issued in this case. 1.5 Set-up is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Boat America is a boating certificate class that offers an in-depth and interesting boating safety course, and provides the knowledge needed to obtain a boating certificate. Topics include Introduction to Boating, Safety Equipment, Safe Operation and Navigation, Boating Emergencies, Trailering, Sports and Boating as well as Boating Law. This course is provided by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 053-17-2. Lunch will be provided. Some insurance companies will also offer discounts on boating insurance to boaters who successfully complete this course.

Fly tying and fishing classes - Intermediate Fly Tying
Beginner Fly Tying Class: This class will cover 8 different fly patterns that are used though out the fishing season. In class we will go over what tools are needed, the materials, how to tie the fly and what we are trying to imitate. Tools and materials will be supplied in the classroom. A Digital Beginner Fly Tying Manual is included in the class (to be printed at your home). The use of Videos, Step by Step manual and hands on instruction will be used for this class, because each person learns differently. Find out which knots to tie and use them, learn how to cast a fly rod. Learn the basics of fly tying as we explain the flies that are needed for fly fishing and how to use them. This purpose of this class is to provide a student with a comprehensive understanding of fly fishing skills, to begin their lifelong learning of fly fishing. Class consists of two classroom instructions and one Saturday outdoors to teach Fly Casting
Intermediate Fly Tying Class The Intermediate Fly Tying Class is a continuation of the Beginner Fly Tying classes. In this class, we will develop more fly tying techniques and tie flies that will catch fish that are more selective. In some classes, we will tie two flies with different variations of how the fly is tied. We will cover the following flies: Sparkle Dun, Compara Dun, Klinkhammer, Parachute Fly, Sulphur Cut Wing Mayfly, Pheasant Tail Emerger, Moose Mane Emerger, Extended Body Bullet Head Hopper, and Muddler Minnow. That is 9 flies with different materials and fly tying techniques in a 6-week course.Students should have basic fly tying knowledge for this class, and will have to supply their own tools and materials (from a material list provided)
