Jon has been an instructor in the BCCC 3D Arts program for several years and has previously taught a course that focused on large-scale, site-specific sculpture. Having the opportunity to collaborate with the Warrington Parks & Rec. for the Lion's Pride exhibition has been very beneficial to the 3D Arts students, and to have these artworks displayed in such a beautiful setting, available for the public to view, the true value and relevance of art in the community is celebrated.
During the walking tour of the sculptures, there will be discussions about the ideas behind each of the works, and how the students proceeded in creating them. Along with a philosophical and conceptual overview, there will also be some details provided about the materials, tools, and processes entailed in the creation of each of the sculptures.
